Liebherr Mobile Cranes Are Built to Go Anywhere

The Liebherr mobile crane can get jobs done in just about any location. Recently a small medieval town in France, Carcassonne, made use of the crane to complete a project in a tight space. Because the city is surrounded by walls, the crane had to fit through narrow areas in order to reach its destination. The crane operator had to twist and turn the crane around, carefully navigating it through the city gate and cramped streets. Remarkably, the crane never touched or damaged any part of the city.

Many obstacles were in the path of the crane, including a small passage with not one, but four separate gates it had to pass 84230550d30a11e2b65722000a9e00be_7through. Luckily, the crane has parts and pieces that can be removed and adjusted to help it fit through even smaller spaces. Certain parts of the crane were taken off, including its storage box and the light on its ballast block. These minor adjustments helped the crane to fit just within the town’s walls.

With the invention of mobile cranes like the Liebherr LTC 1045-3.1, construction projects can be completed in just about any environment.
